My passion is working with employees and volunteers to
achieve organizational goals. Through my professional, academic, and philanthropic
experiences, I have an understanding for organizational development, change
management, strategic planning, and communication and learning styles. I have
spent my career developing talent acquisition strategies, guiding staff through
performance management, serving as the point of contact for employee benefits,
and making recommendations to leadership to best manage staffing resources that
align with and drive organizational goals.
In May 2016, I completed my doctoral degree at Colorado State University in
Education and Human Resource Studies program with an emphasis in
Organizational, Performance and Change. My area of study is in performance
management, specifically when working with adults on the Autism Spectrum. I had
the honor of completing a dissertation research study in an organization where
employees and managers shared their experiences about aligning with people’s
diverse skills, abilities, and interests with career opportunities. The final
research recommendations bridged the gap between theory and practice and
focused on adult learning styles, diversity in the workplace, and leader’s
roles in organizational success. These experiences shared by the research
participants, matched my everyday work in human resources where I get the
opportunity to coach supervisors and employees on policies, procedures, and
career options.
